The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is a home exfoliating treatment that utilizes alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHA) to enhance skin texture, decrease pore congestion, and address uneven skin tone. This potent peel is recommended for experienced users aiming for smoother, clearer skin. It contains a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative to reduce irritation, along with hyaluronic acid, pro-vitamin B5, and black carrot for added support.

Note: Due to its high concentration of acids, this solution should be used cautiously, especially by those with sensitive skin. It is advised only for experienced users of acid exfoliants with non-sensitive skin.

The pH level of this formula is about 3.6. Glycolic Acid, the main AHA in the formula, has a pKa of 3.6, which is a critical factor in acid formulations. pKa indicates acid availability, and when pKa is close to pH, it ensures an optimal balance between salt and acidity.
